About Hayley Sales -

Hayley sales was born on August 31st 1986 where she was surrounded by music at an early age. At age 8, she began writing her own songs, and her interest in music began to skyrocket. Before even graduating, Hayley Sales had an opportunity to interview the Dalai Lama, and travel to pursue acting. After graduating from a performing arts school in Oregon, Hayley moved to her parents' organic blueberry farm in Vancouver which they had recently purchased. She continued to write songs before moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career which only brought her back to vancouver island after losing her voice due to acid reflux. It was then that Hayley Sales recorded her first album titled "Drifter". Hayley then signed with Universal music and released her new album 'sunseed' which she recorded, and produced.

Hayley Sales lyrics

Keep Drivin-

You say the rent is due
And you got nothing but your shame
The landlord's spreading glue
All over everything you dreamed

Nothing's going right
But wrong left you behind
The stop sign's blinking blue
And the road is running blind

But you got to keep drivin'
Keep drivin'
Keep drivn' 'til you turn it around
You got to keep drivin'
Keep drivin'
Keep drivin' 'til you turn it around

The love you loved is gone
She up and cut the strings
She took away your clowns
And left you to your demons

Reality just bounced
Like that check you tried to cash
And all you've got to lose is just about
Everything you have

But you got to keep drivin'
Keep drivin'
Keep drivn' till you turn it around
You got to keep drivin'
Keep drivin'
Keep driving 'til you turn it around

Stuck in limbo
With no windows
I know you're feeling low but if you keep on looking up
Someday luck will break you out

Keep drivin'
You gotta keep drivin' Keep drivin'
Keep drivin' 'til you turn it around

Jailcell Mind

Everybody knows/ the street that's paved can never be tilled
Everybody knows/ the man who's full can never be filled
That's just the way it goes when we're already gone
That's just the way it goes/ In a Jailcell Mind

Looking for the key/ to open an already open door
So many people spend /their whole lives just looking for more
That's just the way it goes when we're already gone
That's just the way it goes/ in a Jailcell Mind

Waiting on an open wave
So many miss the tide
So let go/ and break away
Out of your Jailcell Mind
Out of your Jailcell Mind/ Out of your mind

Well time's like a wall/ It's up till you knock it down
Oh when the clock is your playground/ but hardly anybody figures that out

Cause they're waiting on an open wave
About to miss the tide
So let go and break away
Out of your Jailcell Mind/ Out of your Jailcell Mind/
Out of you mind/ Out of your mind/
Cause that's the way it goes when we're already gone.

What you want

f you look really close there's a rip in the sky and you
Can see the universe/
Spinning round like a pin in your hand

Dip your fingers in paint/ go and skip up the street/ just try
To lighten up some
You're living your life like you're dead and in over you head

But checking numbers isn't how
To know how old you've grown
It's only what you want
It's only what you want

Say you want purple hair/ there's the truth now the dare/ I think
It's such a shame that
Growing old before our time is just a way to survive now

Stop and look at the sun/ tell me what have you done today
That left you dreaming
Cause living life's not a goal/ it's been happening all along the way

And checking numbers isn't how
To know how old you've grown
It's only what you want
It's only what you want

Laughter all over the world
Is doing all it can to have its secret heard
It's only what you want

It's only what you/ it's only what you want
It's only what you want/
It's only what you want
